PSG winger Hatem Ben Arfa set for Premier League return with Leicester

'I don't have any concerns about Hatem's form. I have met him from time to time, and we have talked. I even played alongside him in a variety club charity game last month.'

Nov.03 - SportLand: Hatem Ben Arfa could be set for a return to the Premier League, with Leicester seemingly interested in signing the winger in January. The former Newcastle man has fallen out of favour at PSG and new Foxes boss Claude Puel is thought to be ready to make an approach.

The pair have previously worked together at Nice two seasons ago and Puel is confident of the winger's ability.

According to the Sun, Puel has hinted at a potential swoop in January. He said: 'Hatem is someone I appreciate equally as a player and a person.

'I don't have any concerns about Hatem's form. I have met him from time to time, and we have talked. I even played alongside him in a variety club charity game last month.'

However, the French manager is keen to work with the squad he has before taking any sort of gamble in the transfer market.

He added: 'For me it's important right now to really get to know my squad, and then I can turn to the transfer window.'

Ben Arfa, 30, struggled for fitness towards the end of his Newcastle career but Puel clearly rated his ability during their time together in Ligue 1.
