Eric Bailly explains what Anthony Martial thinks about Marcus Rashford

"Anthony, mentally, is strong and he showed that today. He is happy and whenever he has a chance he takes it as we saw today."

Oct.30 - SportLand: Manchester United star Anthony Martial has not let Jose Mourinho’s trust in Marcus Rashford knock his confidence, according to Eric Bailly.

Manchester United continued their solid start to the season with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Tottenham on Saturday afternoon.

Martial was the hero, stunning Spurs with a late goal after being introduced for Rashford, who seems to be Mourinho’s main man on the left wing. And Bailly, speaking after the Premier League clash at Old Trafford, reckons Martial has not let Mourinho’s trust in Rashford get him down.

Instead, the France international’s form is his way of responding.

"I think we have a lot of very good players in the squad,” the Manchester United defender, Express reports.

“When one does not play, the others do. The good thing about Anthony is that he is always here to help the team whenever he is needed and he showed that today.

"When Rashford plays, Anthony always has that mentality where he is ready to come on and have an impact - which he did by winning the match.

"Anthony, mentally, is strong and he showed that today. He is happy and whenever he has a chance he takes it as we saw today."

Meanwhile, Gary Neville thinks Martial must be more consistent if he is to go down in Red Devils folklore.
