Höwedes debuts at Juventus

“Finally back in training with the team. I can’t wait to play for Juventus,” the former captain of Bundesliga club Schalke 04 wrote on Monday evening.

The debut of world champion Benedikt Höwedes with the Italian champion Juventus Turin was approached.  After surviving a thigh injury, the defender took part in the team training again.

“Finally back in training with the team. I can’t wait to play for Juventus,” the former captain of Bundesliga club Schalke 04 wrote on Monday evening on Facebook and Twitter.

On Saturday Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri had already announced in the Italian media that the defender’s possible debut for the home game against taillight Benevento Calcio would be announced on Sunday.

Höwedes had moved to Turin at the end of August due to a lack of prospects under Schalkes new coach Domenico Tedesco. However, the 29-year-old has not yet been on duty for the club of his World Champion colleague Sami Khedira due to injury problems.
